No major shower peaks in September — the Perseids ended in August, and the Orionids don't start until October. But three minor showers are active, and the new moon on September 11 keeps the sky dark for two of them.

View shower guide →These are all minor showers (ZHR under 10), so expect a handful of meteors per hour under good conditions, not a burst.
How to see them
- After midnight is best — that's when these radiants climb highest.
- Get away from light pollution. It matters more here than for a big shower like the Perseids.
- No equipment needed. Just your eyes and 20–30 minutes to adjust to the dark.
